FARM TO SCHOOL
Groundwork Erie is committed to healthy, fresh, sustainable food access, informed by our community.
At Groundwork Erie, we partner with the Erie School District to maintain their school gardens throughout the summer months. This is a project that our Farm to School Green Team specializes in. Each day of work leads them across our city to different school gardens where they learn to water, maintain, harvest, and plant crops! Much of the harvest is brought to the Pay What You Can Markets, while some is enjoyed by the Green Team and their families.
